Quite a nice surprise. I had one with strawberries, kiwis, and mangos, oh my!

After a few days of dining on delicious dim sum and Schezuan cuisine, a little crepe love was just what I needed. These creations aren't comparable to one's I've sampled in Paris, but for a little shop in an Asian part of LA, I can't complain.

Anthropologie Francophile Plates

Window shopping (online) at Anthropologie, I found these cool, whimsical francophile plates. They are quite a bit out of my price range at $24 each, but with sweet sketchings of:

1) the Eiffel Tower
2) a precious puppy
3) red mushrooms and happy snails
4) and a blue bird,

they are delightful to look at. If you desire a little whimsy in your day, definitely check out these plates here.

Laguiole Knives

Lovely Laguiole knives! They really are l'art et la table. I found these colourful beauties at Tuesday Mornings for $19.99. They remind me of the restaurant La Coupole in the Monteparnasse area of Paris. Great memories, great knives. I can't wait to go on a picnic.

I discovered this delightful Houstonian bakery on a recent site-seeing roadtrip to Galveston, Texas. A yummy selection of sandwiches and sweets are candy for the eyes and nourishment for the stomach and the soul. Bon appetit!
